INDIA-AFRICA HEALTH FORUM 2018

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the 4th India-Africa Health Forum, on 16th May 2018 from 1430 – 1730 hrs at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India. The event is organised as part of the Global Exhibition on Services with support of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Ministry of External Affairs Government of India.
The India-Africa Health Forum aims to provide an opportunity for the leaders from African Government, civil society, and the private sector of both India and Africa to meet and discuss specific projects for collaboration in the health sector. The forum will also showcase the world class healthcare services, diagnosis, medical technology and medical research offered by India.
India and Africa share a unique bond in terms of comfort levels. Large number of Africans have been coming to India for treatment over the past few years. Indian firms are looking at replicating their local success of offering low-cost medical services in many emerging markets of Africa, where people are looking at affordable access to health care.
As per McKinsey report, health care will be the fastest-growing category in Africa after financial services, hospitality and housing. The market is pegged to reach $49 billion by 2025, with a compounded annual growth rate of 4.3 per cent over the next decade. In addition, as the technology wave is rapidly sweeping consumer behaviour there is an increasing demand for discretionary spending that includes health care.
